Ty Simpkins'_ first time appearing on TV was at the tender age of just 3 weeks old on the soap, "One Life to Live", where he shared the recurring role as John "Jack" Cramer. Just weeks after booking this, Ty soon started the sole lead recurring role as Jude Cooper Bauer, on Guiding Light, in which he went on to be "Jude" for about 5 years. Since then, he has appeared in Law & Order and a handful of commercials and print ads giving him the step up to feature films. Ty's film break was in Steven Spielberg's War of the Worlds (2005) opposite Dakota Fanning and Tom Cruise. Ty was just 3 years old. Next a featured role in All the King's Men (2006) (dir. Steven Zaillian) where he played a young Jude Law; leading up to Ty's most notable role to date in which he plays Aaron, the son of Brad (Patrick Wilson) and Kathy (Jennifer Connelly) In Todd Field's adaptation of Little Children (2006). Ty went on to film Pride and Glory (2008) (dir. Gavin O'Connor), in which he and his sister, actress Ryan Simpkins play the children of Colin Farrell, also starring Jon Voight and Ed Norton. Ty also completed Gardens of the Night (2008) (dir. Damian Harris), and again pairing up with his sister, in Revolutionary Road (2008) (dir. Sam Mendes). The Simpkins children this time play the offspring of Kate Winslet & Leonardo DiCaprio. Ty has guest-starred on CSI and Private Practice and proud of the work he has accomplished on Family Of Four. Ty's role as Tommy Baker was a challenge for him because Tommy is the complete opposite of Ty. Working on Family of Four was Ty's first character driven role in a film and fun for him to take on. At 7 years old, Ty is the youngest of 3 children; Ty loves fencing, baseball and climbing the cliffs in the hills with his dog Rufus.
